Fommy Product Review:
Overview: Looking for something to flaunt your phone and give some money to your favorite sport? Look no further than the line of official Nascar, Body Glove pouches.
Durability: The case itself was the most impressive, it stood up to my typical array of damage and only came out with a single scratch that took a bit of force to make, so this case is going to take a while for you to destroy if you are abusive, otherwise this thing should basically last forever. The neoprene exterior proved to be extremely resistant and shock proof, a winning combination.
As usual for Body Glove the belt clip is plastic, so beware if you like to really overdo things (like you Nascar fans typically do). My big problem with the case though is the strap, it uses Velcro, and unlike some of Body Gloves previous cases using it, I'm not impressed with the quality of the material, it just seems to fray way too easily.
Design/Functionality: This case, being one designed for a wide range of devices does fall a bit under the bar as flexibility of devices go. The case is simply too small to accommodate many larger phones these days, but it seems like it was tailored to specifically house last generation, non-smartphone devices. On the upside, the flap doesn't completely encapsulate the phone, making it a good choice if you have an older phone with a protruding antenna.
As with the durability, my problem is once again the flap, the Velcro's quality not only hinders durability, but it just frankly doesn't hold well either. You can simply remove the Velcro flap entirely (it snaps right off), but you would likely have problems keeping it in the holster with a smaller phone if you're rough on it, not to mention the annoying Velcro patch still on the front.
Conclusion: As a case designed for a range of devices, I think it fails, but overall this is a great case if your phone supports it. I really do think they need to ditch the Velcro on this one though. If you're looking for a Nascar case, this is one of the best with the official logo and the cool checkerboard flag design.
