When is the iPhone 12 release event? We may have a launch date

Apple event was full of surprises with launch of premium and budget iPad and Apple Watch, as anticipated earlier, the iPhone did not launched today. The whole event was packed with the features of new iPad Air and Apple Watch 6 and the th budget iPad or Apple Watch SE.

Apple fall event is approaching fast, the event is expected to be online-only rumored to take place in second week of September. Apple started tradition of launching its new iPhone in September since the age of iPhone 5.

Apple apparently tipped September 10 event on its YouTube channel, a Twitter user posted a photo of what appeared to be scheduled livestream set for September 10. Apple did not respond to the request for more information so far, but it seems that the source of this buzz has been taken off from their channel.

Apple in an earlier event warned the iPhone 12 range is delayed, but to COVID19, this recent leak from company has taken everyone by surprise. A new round of speculation claims new iPhone releases on time while shipping could be as late as October.

Apple Launch Event: What to expect

Millions of avid Apple fans wait throughout the year for this launch event and over the years company has not disappointed them rather their curiosity, rumours and buzz around each Apple even grows by the year. We covered expected iPhone 12 Series launch, specification, tentative price etc however, that is not the only thing that Apple announces every year. Apple is expected to show off several new products apart from iPhone 12 Series like new Apple Watch, Apple TV, Airpods, iPad etc.

iPhone 12 Series

iPhone 12 undoubtedly will be the main attraction of this year Apple event. Apple is rumored to be launching 4 new models in 3 different screen sizes – iPhone 12 with 5.4 inch, iPhone 12 Max with 6.1 inch, another 6.1 inch iPhone 12 Pro and 6.7 inch iPhone 12 Pro Max. We won’t be going into the detailed specification as those were already discussed in an earlier article.

Apple is expected to drop the existing design for new look iPhone 12 series and bring back the iPhone SE like flat metal edge design to bring them in line with 2020 iPad Pro models. All four variants of iPhone 12 reportedly support 5G connectivity.

All 4 models are expected to have OLED displays. Top of the line iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are expected to come with 120Hz refresh rate for fast and smoother feel while playing games, surfing webpages and Apps while other 2 models anticipating 60Hz displays .

Numerous rumors confirm that iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Max will have two rear cameras while the other two high end models are expected to be equipped with three rear cameras with LiDAR sensor. The high end iPhone 12 Pro series according to some reports will feature a new 7-part lens for the main camera that should result in better photo quality and reduced distortion. Further rumors suggest that Apple could use a new TrueDepth camera system to reduce the size of front notch.

The iPhone 12 models will use Apple designed A14 processor which is expected to bring speed and efficiency improvement that could save some battery power to compensate to the 5G cause.

Apple Watch 6 Series

Apple most likely will launch a new Apple Watch this year. The Apple Watch 6 is expected to include few new features and updated processor. It could include sleep tracking and a new feature that Apple has been working hard, blood oxygen monitoring.

Apple TV

Apple was rumored to be planning for a 2020 launch of upgraded version of Apple TV streaming box. Few reports claim that Apple TV might be powered by the A12X processor with 64GB/ 128GB storage.

Airpods Studio

Airpods have been very successful for Apple and since then company was planning to take their Airpods to next level and kill their EarPod line altogether. They have been working on a new over the ear design that may be called as Airpods Studio. The Apple headphones are expected to feature auto pause and resume with sensors that can recognize when you wear them. These are expected to be sold for $399.

Entry-level iPad

Apple is expected to launch entry level iPad during this event. Some rumors suggest that the new iPad will have a 10.8 inch display. This iPad could cost less and target the Android tablet users that are not able to use Apple tablet due to pricing.

HomePod

There have been a lot of buzz around the smart speaker lately and as per few reports, Apple could launch a compact version of its HomePod known as HomePod Mini with built-in Siri. Pricings are expected to be around $300.

Internet is full of rumors and buzzes around the new Apple product line, speculation on launch date, pricings, specification but on the other hand its always like that during this time of year. Apple, the most valuable company never disappoint its followers and whether launch happen in September or October, today or tomorrow, these buzzes will never die.

Apart from the products mentioned in the articles, Apple is also working on AirTags, location tracking devices called as Apple AirTags. They work similar to one of the known brand, Tile. Usually they can be attached to bags, luggage, backpacks or handbags and track its location. Apple AirTags can be tracked via the new Find My app.

The new iPhone 12 Series is expected to start from $699 for 5.4 inch iPhone 12 but carrier offers and exchange discount will make this device cost much less for those who are looking for new iPhone 12 with better speed and new features without spending a fortune, this is a good option. Otherwise if you can live without Apple and have a heart for Android, then Pixel 4a is a great alternative with premium features at less.
